06-18-14 Double Dreaming

Sleep is a
hot proposition
At a moment
of indecision
In quiet
darkness drifting
Dreams of
symbolic meanings

06-17-14 Sky Pollution

dust clouds
kicking up dirt
particles in the air
clogging up lungs
irritating our eyes
wipe away the grime
wash off the slime
kiss the garden rose
with toxic breath
paving the road
to a certain death

06-16-14 Reflections In A Shattered Mirror

take the cash quick
run down the street
get away as fast as you can
don't look back

this neighborhood has changed
it's never easy to watch it happen
but it's not the same around here
these are not the same people

stolen golden precious jewels
broken hearts dipped in chocolate
somewhere in time lost in transit
reckless abandon wrapped in regret

06-15-14 Underwhelmed By The Sentiment

Leave it alone
Walk away
In shame

Undervalued

The cost of caring
Hurts pretty hard
Pain gets stronger

Unbeatable

Disregarded
Disrespected
Disconnected
Disappointed

Unbelievable

Sad feelings
Lost enthusiasm
Stopped caring

06-14-14 Remembering The Twin Towers

Sitting on the corner
Of Chrystie and Delancey
Looking up at the empty spot
Where the Twin Towers used to be

So much has changed
In the days and years
Since the towers fell
We can never go back

And I think about our neighbors
Who never made it home that day
I think about the families they left behind
Then I hug my son as hard as I can

06-13-14 Thirteen Honey Moons Rising

opposite energies attract
backwards forward
and upside down again
without any boundaries

explosions of experience
fresh from imagination
in oceans of inspiration
illuminated in twilight

06-12-14 How To Get Rich

fortunes rise and fall

06-11-14 Robots In Love

gears and gizmos grind
programmed to receive
radioactive rewind mind
all together up in flames

tune in to the television
broadcast into the future
casting rays of illumination
into the dreadful darkness

their lightbulb eyes met
a strong connection set
uploaded between signals
rebooted by the spark

the laws of attraction apply
to the cult of men and machine
and I read it in a magazine
nature always wins in the end

06-10-14 Secret Meditation

total isolation
in darkness
contemplating
in silence

simplicity
frozen in time
floating away
weightless

everything
and nothing
always never
existing

06-08-14 Queens Boulevard On Sunday

We can go anywhere
Across town on the local bus
Or by walking down back streets

Stop for ice cream
On the way home after a long day
The cool sweet refreshment chills me

Sprinklers spraying water
At the playground in the afternoon
The children are laughing as they play

A calm stroll around
On a warm summer evening at sunset
The neighborhood is crackling with excitement

06-07-14 Summer Carnival

Pony rides
Cotton candy
Bouncy castle

Cool breeze
Children laugh

06-06-14 Coffee Coma Daydream

Searching for a great place in time
Flipping through old golden photos
Remembering those wild memories
Finding the true meaning of existence

Burning for a hot chance to cool off
Bouncing back from serious injuries
Swimming deep inside wounded hearts
Falling asleep on the subway platform

06-05-14 Kentucky Fried Humans

When the Martians attack
They'll land in the cities
And fry us alive with their
Radioactive laser ray guns
Then they'll freeze dry us
And dip us in a secret blend
Of magical herbs and spices
To ship us all off to Mars
For their annual holiday feast
When the third moon rises up
Over Saturn's dark red horizon
At the beginning of eternity

06-04-14 Manhattan Civil Court Date

Cold rainy morning
The long subway ride
Stop and go on the local line

Grab a quick cup of hot coffee
Drop in a handful of ice cubes
Add some sweet sweet sugar

Walk past the Nine Eleven memorial
Remember that day like yesterday
Take a moment to pause and reflect

Enter the courthouse at nine
Go through the metal detectors
Belt buckle sets off the alarm

Gulp down all the coffee
Before entering the courtroom
Get ready to kick some ass

06-03-14 Leap Into The Deep End

Step right up
Grab on to the rail
Inch a little bit closer
Look down below
Wait patiently
It's your turn next
Stand on the platform
Take a deep breath
Put both feet in front
Scream out loud
Close your eyes
Take a dive

06-02-14 Four Phases

Wave action
Still quiet
Beautiful
Cool breeze

Hanging out
Still young
Beautiful
Cool kids

Living well
Still crazy
Beautiful
Cool cash

Still alive
Beautiful
Cool future

05-31-14 Missed Step

It's not so easy
to create a new poem
every single day
on command

It's tough to open up my heart
and craft an interesting poem
that will be thought provoking
on a universal level

You told me to write two poems
in a race against the clock
like it's something simple
that happens without effort

Sometimes poems write themselves
other times I have to rip them out
from deep within my soul
but tonight this is all I've got

05-30-14 Subterranean Artifacts

Beneath the surface
Are underground dwellers
In mysterious caverns
Waiting to emerge

Hidden civilization
Evolving in darkness
For centuries unseen
Living unknown

Ancient medicine men
Communicated beyond reality
Traveling through the void
In secrets revealed below

05-29-14 Wishing In The Well

In the morning
I hustle to get dressed
Then I take the train
Into the city for work
And I daydream about
A time when I'll be free
To focus all my energy
On writing great poetry

05-28-14 Letting Loose In Central Park

Enjoying the breeze
Flowers raining down
Grooving at the summer stage
A long walk in the fresh air

Strange ancient vibrations
Swirling deep in outer space
Standing in the moving universe
Sacred celebration ceremony

Crazy adventures running around
Soul circus in an alternate reality
Floating through tall trees growing
Hop in a cab and head home

05-27-14 Late Movie Creature Feature

sneaking around
after midnight
when everyone
is sleeping

turning on the tv
in the darkness
with headphones
plugged in

secretly watching
black and white
monster movies
on the late late show

escape from
the horrors of
everyday life
in the big city

05-26-14 Sketches Of The Evening News

Gas station robberies in New Jersey
Flags on display around the country
We honor our fallen heroes today
On the official start of the summer

Hikers missing after a massive mudslide
Pope leaves holy land with a call for peace
Thunderstorms ahead in the weekly forecast
Swarm of bees removed from uptown tree

Yankees beat Red Sox in extra inning thriller
Poetry stimulates brain development in kids
Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend
We'll be right back after this commercial break

05-25-14 Fooling Around At The Playground

Down the slide
Up the stairs
In the tunnel

Sandbox sunshine
Swinging on monkey bars
Running through sprinklers

Cold wet drink
At the water fountain
On a hot summer day

Ice cream man
Selling sweet treats
On the city streets

Pigeons eat birdseed
In little mobs
Around the park benches

Laughter good cheer
There's a happy energy here
We are all children

05-24-14 The Monsters Have Escaped

The fog rolls in
as daylight fades
and the wind blows
while wolves howl

Vampire moon
a deep blood red
darkness creeps
in thick shadows

Hideous creatures
locked in the castle
hungry for flesh
ready to rampage

05-23-14 Forest Hills Flashpoint

05-22-14 Strategy For Victory

Fly in the face of freedom
Wield the hammer of power
Strike with scientific precision
Attack when they least expect it

Don't ever stop fighting
Never give up or give in

Retire at a young age
Collect a pension for the rest of your life

05-21-14 Hooked On The Devil's Syrup

Getting sick on a Monday
is the worst time to get sick
because you feel lousy all week
coughing sneezing choking wheezing
until the cherry cold medicine kicks in
taking a moment of quiet calm
buzzing numb to the touch
where the air tastes so sweet
and you can finally drift off
into a peaceful sleep

05-20-14 Swinging For The Fences

Intentionally walking
around town

Late nights spent quietly
riding the train

The voice inside your heart
is leading the way

Then put the ball in play
to make magic happen

05-19-14 Humble Under The Skyline

I look out across this great metropolis
and I see millions of parts moving
simultaneously working in unison
towards some great goal or dream

Skyline surrounding us completely
we are swallowed up inside it's belly
turning three hundred and sixty degrees
on the rise in the middle of a downfall

The buildings sparkle and tower above
lonely skyscrapers standing silently
taller than all of them combined
in the shadows of human achievement

Sunday, May 18, 2014

05-18-14 Prime Time

Can't buy more time
There's never enough
But that's the thing
You will always need

I wish I had more time
But I can't find the time
And you wouldn't
Give me the time

We'll look ahead to another time
Maybe that time will be more manageable
Maybe that time won't be in such short supply
Better luck next time

Saturday, May 17, 2014

05-17-14 Gentleman Pirates

Out on the high seas
Slowly baking in the sun
Plundering priceless treasures
Gold doubloons in a wooden chest

Cannonball swashbuckle
Peg leg parrot eye patch style

Walk the plank me hartees
Aaaaaarrgh matee
Yo ho ho yo ho ho
And a bottle of rum

Friday, May 16, 2014

05-16-14 Through An Open Window

Sheets of rainwater
Cascading down
Through the trees
Like instant waterfalls

The smell of springtime
Drifting through the air
Fresh flowers blooming
Green green grass growing

Birds chirping in the morning
First rays of daylight shine
Peeking through white clouds
Deep blue skies waiting to shine

Wild roses twisting around
The bars of a cold steel gate
Where nature meets man
Listening to the hush

05-15-14 Thank You For Riding With Me

Late night
drunk

Back seat of
a yellow taxi cab

There is no tomorrow
We are timeless

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

05-14-14 Lucky Rocket Number Five Fourteen

Converted by the kids on the street
Sacrificed at the church in the old hotel
Hearing strange footsteps on the stairs
Home alone when the room gets cold

Spiritual connections to another place
Forbidden memories from another lifetime
Simple needs for compassion are forgotten
Listen to the voice inside your heart

Begging for change on Madison Avenue
Walking downtown with madness in mind
Chasing the late train on the way home
Finding religion at the thirteenth hour

The clock keeps ticking as time goes on
We'll be judged by words we leave behind
Weaving wishes between burning desires
Sending live love and joy into the universe

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

05-13-14 Subway Superstar

riding an early train
reading the newspaper
thinking about the day
sipping a hot cup of coffee
breakdancing at the station
cold air is our worst enemy
spinning onto the platform
waiting for my train to come

05-12-14 Launch Codes For Doomsday

The struggle to survive
Walks hand in hand
With chaos and pain

Go back to the barn
Chasing owls out west
Far into nowhere fast

The streets are all bombed out
And the kids are crazy wasted
Before the new dawn breaks

The pyramid language revealed
Entombed in hidden darkness
Peaceful existence in the universe

Fear of extinction washes over us
Crushed under the weight of war
In the heart of a doomed civilization

Plan to escape in a rocket
When the structure crumbles
We will all go into hiding

Sunday, May 11, 2014

05-11-14 Wake Up Ritual

Bright sun explodes
On a cold morning
Newspaper headlines
Radio traffic report
Crispy burnt toast
Anticipation

The day ahead
An unwritten story
But it's really all about
That early cop of coffee
Hot thick sweet rich
Start your engines

05-10-14 A Day At The Zoo With My Son

We spent it together
Father and son fun
At the zoo this afternoon

We took the train
All the way to the park
Then walked the wrong way

We saw the big bears
You liked watching the seals
But you were scared of the goats

We ran snuck into a barn
When the sunshine turned to rain
Waiting for the storm to pass

We laughed with llamas
You fell asleep on the way home
Next time we'll ride the carousel

05-09-14 Speedy Delivery

Service on the fly

Looks good on paper

The new fashion

Spotlights shining

Morning noon and night

Out against the elements

Heat wave thunderstorms

Cold winter blizzards

Cruising uptown fast

Back downtown

Then uptown again

Not giving in

Never giving up

05-07-14 Still Life Alive

The beauty of a bowl of cherries
sitting pretty on a kitchen table
on a warm summer morning
with the windows open wide
and sunshine singing out

05-06-14 Traveling Back In Time To See Hendrix

We waited until after sunset
when the shadows grew large
and the moonlight was dim

The giant brick walls stood tall
on sacred ground where gods walked
as we stood in their footsteps

Snuck in through a secret tunnel
into a time warp spinning backwards
wandering into historical situations

The grand hall was full of ghosts
hearing echoes of old sounds singing
we've touched sources of eternal energy

Blending in with the crowd knocked out
watching Jimi Hendrix play Machine Gun
at the Fillmore East on New Years Eve

The spirit of technical electric mayhem
transcending to a higher level of existence
expanding deep into the temple of infinity

Racing back home at the break of dawn
the golden sun rises over Second Avenue
eternally through the musical landscape

05-05-14 You And Your Plus One

Those lights sure were bright
When we used to bathe in champagne
And the personalities at the parties
Were hotter than the summer heat

Exclusive access after hours
Downstairs in the basement until dawn
Blinded by the morning sunshine sky
Evil spirits hunting behind the scenes

The darkness of daytime hours
Poisoned in a cloud of black smoke
Down in flames after the last call
Forgotten forever at the end of the jam

05-04-14 For Immediate Release

The winds of time
Blow away so fast
Changing
Aging

Walls are built
Buildings crumble
Walls are rebuilt

Growing tall
Monster trees
Standing string
Through changing seasons

The rains pour down hard
This shelter was built
To keep all the water out
Until it's safe to go

05-03-14 To Be A Young Child Again

I have a wish
That someday
Life will be like
That episode of
The Twilight Zone
Called Kick The Can
And we'll all get a chance
To be young kids again
So we can play ball
In the school yard
All day long

05-02-14 Return Of The Ancient Creators

get the
message across

the universe is meen
they chopped down
all the trees

intelligent design
rewind the time

they came back
to claim their prize

gold miners
living underground
without coffee

special gifts
manufactured civilization
lucky to be alive

05-01-14 Lost Inside A Ghost Universe

We traveled across the stars
all the way from elsewhere
to never there and back again

Black holes swallowing space
formless shadows fade away
through glass doors of discovery

Rocket Number Nine is out there
their last transmission was received
before they crossed into the next realm

Giant floating organisms eating planets
reverse transition between light years
passing through the astral time shift

Recording secret messages in outer space
bouncing around over stars and moons
we have entered into an alternate reality

04-30-14 New York City Downpour Blues

people on the street
all in lousy mood swings
splashing through puddles
when the sewers overflow

high pressure cold front
sheets of rain pouring down
flooding the subway stations
rats running down the platform

abandoned broken umbrellas
litter the sidewalks on Fifth Avenue
pidgeons splashing in the park
the hot pretzel vendor stayed home

sunshine in the afternoon
soaking wet with nothing left to lose
steam rising off the pavement
double rainbow over Manhattan

04-28-14 Stuffed Duck Expressions

Super sweet

Waffles with maple sauce

I think we're going to need

Listening to car chase music

High in the sky

04-27-14 Springtime Arbor Festival

Sunny day in the garden
Flowers in full bloom
Birds flying up above
Blue skies smiling bright

Rolling around in the grass
Playing hard in the dirt
Feeding ducks at the pond
Fresh air peaceful afternoon

04-26-14 Stop Chopping Down Trees

If trees could talk
they would ask us
to stop chopping
them down

They take a lifetime
to grow so big and tall
only to vanish in minutes
after an intimate meeting with
a chainsaw and a wood chipper

If trees could talk
we wouldn't chop them down
and we would be less inclined
to snap off their branches
or rip off their leaves
climbing to the top
hanging from a limb

It always better
to plant more trees
instead of
chopping them down

04-25-14 Speaking In Secret Languages

Weaving speech patterns
Through the body of the text
Old tales told three times
Variations on a classic theme

Lions feast on fabulous treats
Cold soda foaming from the fountain
Connection to traditions upheld
Heavy rain pouring poison water

Code green classification status
Severe attack sequences initiated
Dragon luxury power strategy
Network settings transfigured

Cool waters running up ahead
Stage the markets from behind
An anonymous computer screen
Drop the bomb and hit the deck

04-24-14 At Home In Your Own Bathroom

What worlds go on
behind five walls
inside your heart
where demons live
and dreams may die
in the underworld
unforgiven in disbelief
looking into a broken mirror
suffering alone with your self
faced with the familiar pain
regrets that lie unanswered
a dried out thirsty hangover
barfing your guts out
on the cold tile floor
flush the toilet
close the door

04-23-14 Sitting On The Edge Of The Universe

fast forward to an electric future
sky high sunrise on the mile
flip the feast to fix the fresh fox
reflect upon an industrial past

they fell prey to a sham
chasing thrills and action
left no faith in confidence
too many answers left

04-22-14 A Poem From The End Of The World

I'll never forget
The moment
We heard
The news

Everything changed
So suddenly

Exploding Earth
Changing the face
Of outer space

Oceans swallowed
The highlands
Above sea level
Swimming

We missed our chance
We can never go back

But I know you're out there
And I know you're listening
So this particular apocalypse
Is dedicated to you

04-21-14 Micro-analysis Of Each Second

Obsession over detail
To slow down
The passage of time

Watching the world grow
Older with each passing moment
Aging before our eyes

Trees stand tall
Walls endure weather
The sun has seen it all

04-20-14 Traffic Jam Jellybean Hunt

Stuck on the expressway
Sitting in the same place
Stop and go and stop again
So far away from home

Catch me if you can
On the road all night long
Hit the break off the gas
I have to pee really bad

04-19-14 Gas Station Economics

I thought it was
a better idea
to fill up the tank
with cash at the pump
while we were out today
instead of paying
an extra ten cents
per gallon tomorrow
with my card
when we drive
out to the island

04-18-14 Robots In The Ocean

Earthquakes all over the world
Satellite armies sending signals
Sky sharks stalk their prey
Silver dolphins swimming
Killer whales in outer space

Form the formless worm hole
Enter through another dimension
Rocketship marathon expedition
May the stars be your guide
Go back in time to stop the future

04-17-14 News From The Battlefield

after all the fighting
I went numb frozen
to all the bad news
killing on command

improvised explosives
caught in a death trap
thinking about love
bursting into flames

the war inside is violent
these wounds can never heal
thinking about being back home
the enemy has us surrounded

04-16-14 The Flavor Of Sunshine

Back to reality in time

Treasure hunt in obscurity
Priceless knowledge

Dinosaurs in motion
Living color pictures shift
Long overdue for illumination
Turn up the volume of your dreams

04-12-14 Saturday Night Horror Show

Evil came to life again
Terror of the highest degree
Searching for the source of magic
Scientific research gone wrong

Electrical spark ignited
Rebirth of the monster at last
Translating the blueprint of life
Awakened under the spell of darkness

Lurking in shadows at night
Under the silver light of a full moon
Rising quietly from forbidden depths
Cursed by ghosts from beyond this reality

04-09-14 Losing Faith

Questioning what is real
Compared to things
That only seem real

The last great scene
Dried up and crumbled
Now it's reduced to rubble

Trapped inside a bubble
Protected from pain
Numb to any feeling

Reflecting on the truth
Slapped in the face
Frustrated with the plan

04-08-14 Dreamland Poem

Late to sleep
Long day
Drifting off
Exhausted

Silver sparkles
Magical fairies
Mystical monsters
Sprinkled with sugar

Hot nightmare
Evil creatures
Slowly turn
Then fade away

I saw your face
A brief glance
Quick smile
Slowly turn
Then fade away

04-07-14 South Of Utopia

wild everything
all lit up like heaven
catch a flying star
critical errors blow
differences aside
survival challenge
build a shelter
gather some food
start a fire to cook
healthy discepline
a delayed reaction
out in the universe
walking the streets
capturing your heart
whisper to the soul
watching the world
on top of skyscrapers
gazing out wide eyed
across the skyline
city of the damned
home grown nature
classic radiation
boardwalk politics
illustrated for life
hold your head high
walk away happy
break the cycle
hit the big time
out in the jungle
snakes bite flesh
speed crash blaze
gasoline flash trap
flush away the poison
locked in a love story
temporary prison walls
for the love of humanity

04-05-14 The Creature Stalks Us

The sound of deep breathing

Something is with us here
We are not alone tonight
There is a wild animal near
We may not survive this

04-04-14 Hanging Out On The Deck

Splash out in the sun
From the bottom of
A rusty metal wash tub
Before plastic took over
The ice encapsulated cars
Cities were buried in snow
The summer heat cooked us
Raw steak in the afternoon
Burning cool in the hot seat
Blown away or torn apart
Strength from within an a
When spiders had their dawn
Drawn butter dripping lobster
Sipping cocktails on the roof

04-03-14 Lovesick Haiku

Champaign for breakfast
Driving all night in the rain
Romance and heartbreak

04-02-14 Visions Of Apocalypse

face the horrible truth
the juice has got the use
fluid even before sunset
citrus skies are wild

tigers growling in the jungle
cheese pizza hot out of the oven
black and white photos of old cats
cold beer brewing in the basement

smiling cartoon faces with character
half a million minds were deep fried
electric musical interludes interrupted
flying saucers at the end of the world

I was dreaming about a giant earthquake
hearing voices of those who were missing
buildings crumbling into piles of rubble
a dark silence falling across the land

04-01-14 Computer Relationship Advice

Overdrawn in high regard
Shoot out in cyberspace
Web traffic net madness
Linked to secret information

Masterpiece of social consciousness
Digital solutions to a natural lifestyle
Naked electronics manipulate the message
Energy is the key to everything in life

Negative reversal of fortune
Traveling on the line of credit
Going nowhere in the void
Black hole check out goodbye

03-31-14 Opening Day Blues

Sometimes success
is simply failure
in disguise

Sometimes failure
is actually success
waiting to happen

03-30-14 Falling Asleep With The TV On

Cartoon visions come alive
Colorful static memories
Moving pictures stretch out
Strange suggestions seep in

Subliminal messages planted
In deep caverns of the inner mind
Subconscious intentions uncovered
Below the hidden surface of the soul

Breaking news at this late hour
Coming up after the midnight feature
Horror classics in nightmare disguises
Animated right before your very eyes

03-29-14 Early Morning Stormy

Peaceful calm
Washes over the land
Late at night cold
Wind and rain

Cool hush
Rushing from within
Tall tree branches
Swaying

Quiet morning storm
Tapping on the windows
Howling through the dawn
Pouring all day long

03-28-14 Poetry Dad

Express yourself
Out loud
At the top of your lungs
But don't wake up the baby

03-27-14 Seasons Change Like Centuries

Sunday morning heavy rain
Thunderstorms rolling in
Catch me snuggling up cozy
Safe under a warm blanket

A wash out day spent indoors
Hoping for a miracle sunrise
To paint this town a golden shine
As the city streets come alive

Toy robots in a glass display case
Plastic Santa Claus medal of honor
The old neighborhood hasn't changed
But it's still so different from the old days

We sipped fresh egg creams
Walking hand in hand together
With our baby fast asleep in the stroller
Wishing things could stay perfect forever

03-26-14 Notes From A Poetry Factory

Seeds catch fire in the wind
When we blow away the odds
To keep the ball up in the air
As we push towards the finish

I want to deliver the love inside
All lit up like a firefly in a jar
Around the world in a split second
On the wings of electronic birds

Feast of knowledge for free
Words with other meanings
Transcribed into easy language
With a super sized order of fries

The message has never changed
In the songs we sing out loud
In the poems we write sincerely
Broadcast live from the universe

03-25-14 Old Book Store Haiku

Creaky wooden floors
A universe of old books
The dust makes you sneeze

03-24-14 Missed Connection

We had to say
goodbye before
we ever met

Those dreams
will have to wait
until another day

So sad that we
couldn't make it work
before time ran out

But hope remains
that we'll meet someday
when the universe is ready

03-23-14 Conquerors From Beyond Mars

Flashes of lightning
Fire in the sky
Spaceships crashing
Invasion alert

Out in space
The chase has begun
To take over the galaxy
In an infinite crusade

03-22-14 I'm The Guy

I'm the guy
who wakes up early
and works hard all day
to pay the bills

I'm the guy
who still watches cartoons
and reads comic books
when I want to relax

I'm the guy
who plays you those
Rolling Stones songs
you've never heard before

I'm the guy
who writes modern poetry
even though it's not so hip
because it is what I do

I'm the guy
who finds beauty in simplicity
and tries to live each day
with gratitude and enthusiasm

I'm the guy
who daydreams about the future
while walking the city streets
reminiscing about the golden age

03-21-14 The Mother Of Invention

We all dream
In living color
Tasting the future
Living in imagination
Embracing concepts
Evolving from ideas
Into reality

03-20-14 Wild Spirit Of The Swamp

Down in the pines
The shadows grow long
As cold rains pour down
In the dark swamp

A creature walks
Unknown to all mankind
Lurking in hidden caverns
Waiting to rise

Sacred spirit of nature
Keeper of hidden secrets
Maintaining the balance
Between fantasy and reality

03-19-14 We Take Flight Tonight

When there is no light
We fly away into the night

As the full moon rises
The stars sing out like a chorus

We sail the jet stream
Across the wide open skyscape

Like star struck silver surfers
Riding waves of wind into the horizon

The hands of destiny
Guide us straight into the heavens

And when the morning comes
We'll wake up in dreamland alive

03-18-14 Airplane Mystery

Somewhere

On a runaway runway

Emergency landing

Act of terrorism

Conspiracy

Mechanical failure

Time warp

Motion alternate

Legitimate theories

Sinister intent

Sitting in a secret hangar

Shot down

Fly across the ocean

Clear skies ahead

Turbulence

Flying saucer

Vanished

03-17-14 One Missing Twin

Riding mighty high
In a green taxi cab
Violating the law
Passing the praise
Radioactive action
Exclusive arrangements
Put the customers first
Funeral policy debate
Overpopulation explosion

A unique snowflake falls

So thankful we got to see you shine
Before you vanished like a shooting star

Sunday, March 16, 2014

03-16-14 Evil Kiss

Under your spell
Kiss and tell
Then turn to stone

To drain the love
Straight from the heart
Then torn apart

03-15-14 Lower East Side Of Paradise

We can walk
down Second Avenue
in the sunshine

Those old buildings
have told a million tales
and sold their souls

Yaffa cafe open always
celebration of youthful creativity
hot coffee on a chilly day

Vanilla egg cream
at Gem Spa on the corner
frosty sweet perfect fizz

Late afternoon shadows
Fillmore East echoing in the streets
McSorley's drunk at lunch

Friday, March 14, 2014

03-14-14 Uncovered Cover Up

Extreme changes in altitude
Shifts in the climate are real
You'll be frozen where you stand

Searching for secret knowledge
Discovering magic in strange places
Uncovering powerful objects underground

In the skies they watch us all the time
Breaking news reports on television
Flashing lights at the speed of sound

A dramatic mechanical malfunction
Restricted technology manipulated
The robots will rise up to destroy mankind

03-13-14 Thirteen Lucky Wishes

A phone call
from an
Old friend
on Your birthday

peace officer
arresting
a man
who is
guilty of innocence

Let the message
Reach the masses
On smart phones
Through social media

At the
speed
of
Lightning

Illuminate
on time
in the dark
writing
Electronic Poems

03-12-14 Stormy Breezes

The storm is roaring outside
It's so nice to be mellow inside
Curled up under the blanket
Falling asleep next to the radiator

Cold air blowing hard against the house
Howling winds swirl through tree branches
Nature's fury destroying the landscape
It's better to be safe and warm inside a shelter

03-11-14 Put It In The Bag

Sinister electrical impulses
Flashing signals on the sly
Superfly jive high five strike
Working at the energy factory

Step up to the stoop
And put it in the bag
Speak your peace
But don't tell lies

Cowboys fighting giant robots
In outer space at home on the range
Silent wisdom whispered out loud
In secret languages spoken softly
