10-08-15 Hudson Rail Yard Blues

Towers rising
Up from the ground
Like upright cities
Scraping the skies
From high up above
The old neighborhood

We used to grab
A hot dog and a soda
From the cart on the corner
Then we'd sit on a bench
In the park across the street
Sauerkraut and mustard
We were both so young
Now that bench is gone
The whole park is gone

10-07-15 Out On The Field

Out on the field
Nothing else counts
The world stops spinning
This game is everything

Out on the field
There are no friends
The score will be settled
A winner and a loser

Out on the field
Spending free time
Hanging on every pitch
Summer lasts forever

Feel the love of your life
Let go of all the bad stuff
Follow the golden light

A small bird
Sits on a
Tree branch
Quietly
Eating a bug
Before
Flying away

10-04-15 Notes From A Time Traveler

Destroyer on the run
Fear the ultimate fate
Demons with evil eyes
Cities burning far away

Skies of fire blazing bright
Black smoke clouds rising
Future uncertain at this time
Faster internet connections

Monsters of science are alive
Silent killers creeping beneath
Raging like frightened animals
Ready to rule the world tomorrow

10-03-15 Playtime With My Son

Someday
You'll remember
These good times
And smile

When we'd play
Carelessly casual
In the afternoon
Laughing out loud

Setting up blocks
Knocking them down
Singing our songs
Dancing like fools

10-02-15 Champagne Hallucinations

Dolphins swimming

Down Main Street

Schools of Swedish fish

Multiplying exponentially

Sweet candy soda stream

Ice cream cookie cupcakes

Golden gods riding motorcycles

In hotel hallways hell bent on heat

The latest fashions on display

Grotesque monsters lurking below

Too much garbage piling up above

The stink of hot trash is overpowering

High class excess hidden in plain sight

Weekend backstage party with the devil

Low tide flooding in mint green oceans

Beautiful sunrise on the train tracks

UFOs and flying saucers spinning in the sky

Rainbow in your eyes with the future ahead

City streets silently crackling in a rain storm

Lightning crackles on a hot electric evening

Cartoon comic book spaceship laserbeams

Superheroes flying forever in your imagination

10-01-15 Apocalypse Of The Week

All the animals
Driven to extinction
Earthquake rumble
As cities crumble

Superstorm hurricane
Floods swallow everything

Innocent children
Slaughtered in the streets

We'll survive the crisis
Living to see another sunrise
Rising like a Phoenix
To rebuild this world stronger

09-27-15 The Warlock Of Words

I'm on a quest
For supreme magic

From out of thin air

To sculpt a poem
From nothing at all
Into something special
That might impact you

Fine crafted work
The power to create
Is infinitely stronger
Than the power to destroy

09-26-15 Infrastructure Evolving

Homes to keep us safe and warm

09-25-15 Rocket Fuel To The Fire

Riding a rainbow comet
Into radioactive clouds
Circuits are overloaded
The circus is in town

Hard rocket ship landing
Light station laserbeams
Insect warriors from below

Greater treasures are buried
Impossible daydreams die
Don't waste the energy again

Hot shot straight to the heart
Broken mirror beauty shattered
Gone quicker than light speed
Programmed for eternal happiness

09-24-15 Indian Summer Sun Burn

Called out for replacement
The turning point of this season
Hard to adjust to all these changes
Making a killing giving second chances

Hard cool wind in September days
Wolfman lurking right around the corner

Flooded with devestation once again

You can never end with a bend like that
Let me bleed and do all the work for you
Robots will rise and take over the world
I will meet you in some future apocalypse

In the presence of panda bears

Pickle jars in your neck
Of the woods are good

Hot cup of coffee at sunrise

Splashing trucks in the mud
Climbing trees in the summer

Swimming in the cold lake
Looking for mysterious monsters

Settle down quiet in the evening
Time to rest and do it again tomorrow

09-18-15 Mood Ring Colors

Listen to my heart
Crying to my Mom

Radiate positive energy
Start off on a high note
Share the love for life

09-17-15 Taxi Rider

Cruising uptown
In the back seat
Of a yellow cab

Tall buildings
Crowded streets
My city is alive
And I am here
To soak it all in

On a warm summer morning
New York stories in motion
Yawning before my coffee
Cutting through Bryant Park

Take a deep breath

Tall buildings tower above

Sitting quietly in tranquil peace
Away from the everyday hustle
While the whole city blossoms

Swept away in an instant
Into a soup of destruction
Washing over the toxic city

The art of affection

You are the spirit

That guides my way

On the road of life

Deep down in my heart

You are the light

That shines in my soul

Glowing so bright

Don't ever forget it
