Then carelessly stroll around town

We go back to the store
To buy more new things

You know that down deep in their hearts
They're as miserable as you are

06-29-18 Battle For Our Soul

Your heart is full of hate
But there is love in my heart

But our love is too strong

You try to spread darkness
But our lights shine so bright

You confuse kindness with weakness
But our strength will rise to defeat you

06-28-18 Revisionist History

Going back in time
To change mistakes we made
To right the wrongs against us
While setting into motion
A million alternate realities

Now that the years have passed
And many scenarios have played out
It's plain to see the writing on the wall
Civilization shall fall no matter what
And now we can never go home again

06-27-18 Loneliness Lost In Nothingness

Flying away into the setting sun

06-23-18 People In Your Neighborhood

Look all around
And what do you see
Many faces
That look like you and me

There's a mailman over there
And a construction worker
There is a politician
There is a prostitute

If you look over there
You'll see a time traveler
He's looking at his watch
To see what time it is

Those people on the corner
Are extraterrestrial shape shifters
And they've been here all along
Without you ever noticing

That guy sitting on the steps
Is an ancient vampire zombie
Who is over a thousand years old
And he wants to drink your blood

Robots and androids alive and well
There characteristics are hard to tell
Look all around and what do you see
Many faces that look like you and me

Far beyond the knowledge of humanity
Spreading good ideas like wildfires
Across the planet from our birthplace

06-21-18 Great Again

Words burning holes in us
Trading insults for intimacy
Going to war in public places
Peacekeepers on the front lines

Shift your trajectory towards peace

Barefoot on the boardwalk

In the shadow of the Cyclone

Before the afternoon rains came down

Running along the sweet sandy beaches

I'll never swim in those waters again

06-16-18 Lunchtime In Madison Square Park

Cool breezes fill the air
Sweet jazz music sounds
Kids on the playground

Lovers strolling casually
Under ancient giant trees
With a shady spot to relax
On the green green grass

06-15-18 Family Photo Album

Creepers down in the basement

Then write your thoughts down on purpose

The sun exists
Behind the clouds
You may may not see it
But it is there

06-03-18 Not Simply Existing

Taking up space on the street
Another mouth to feed again
Breathing valuable fresh air
Drinking up all the clean water
Taking it all without giving back

Say something from your heart
Enjoying the good life on Earth
Live to tell the tale another day
Creating your own masterpiece
Leave your mark before you go

06-02-18 Bee Stings

Will move you in the right direction

Baseball season is in full swing
Every day is a new adventure
Enjoy it while it lasts

Spreading the disease
Like dry wildfire trees
When deep tides rise
To meet mountain tops
And humans go extinct

05-28-18 Crime In Your Eyes

Spotlight shines in your eyes
Disqualified for espionage

Free pizza on Tuesday nights
Glitches in the universal fabric
Alternate realities collide inside

05-27-18 Fireflies Flashing

Goodbye to the sky for today

05-21-18 The Devil Among Us

You've drank his Kool Aid
Without tasting the poison
Now you are starting to get sick
But it's already too late

05-20-18 Shades Of Sunshine

Sunlight looks different today
Perspectives shifted slightly
And we all remember incorrectly
Where we were that fateful yesterday

The shadows don't quite match
Where the flowers don't grow
Sunlight goes where it wants
To paint the town different colors

Shades of sunshine made my day
Breezes kissed your soft cheeks
Daylight shines in a new way
And things look very different today

Sleeping on the sidewalk
Is to be forgotten

05-17-18 Downtown Mantra

Follow your heart
Swallow your pride
Create your art
Stay true inside

05-16-18 Brainstorm In A Rainstorm

You would almost always
never find it hidden underground
as it would not ever be in a place
where it could not be seen

Everything evil is in plain sight
as time turns kings into ghosts
surviving a dark eternity with
amazing energies left intact forever

A bible of ancient wisdom was written
on the walls of cities we once loved
now covered up under layers of paint
as decades fade away into centuries

05-15-18 Intentionally Confusing

Intentional confusion illusions
Fabulous oppressive culture war
Watch out for falling bombshells
The artist follows inspiration as light
And the art remains as it's own reward

Lightning extreme at the drop of a dime
Bad hats put on display for lovers alone
Universe of solid matters for spirituality
Strawberry street art masterpieces for sale

05-14-18 Graffiti Comes To Life

Running through raindrops
Splashing in puddles with you
Hustle across to the other side
Remember these raindrops

Posted poetry in the streets
And of the streets and sidewalks
And for the people in the streets
Surrounded by violence and beauty

Civilians oblivious to civilization
Zombies stumble around town frowning
Numb and blind to this environment
Zoo animals without cages on the loose

Wake up and look straight ahead
Have gratitude for this amazing life
Taste the flavors and enjoy the flowers
Have another glass of champagne

To fall in love with life
And spread your joy around

inside my brain

Space brains
invading my mind
with electric skies
and blue eyes smiling

05-08-18 High Note

When you fall down
Stand right back up again

When this chapter ends
Turn the page and start anew

If you lose the game today
Find a way to win tomorrow

If the tune you sing ends on a low note
Sing a new song that ends on a high note

When you've been beat

When your dream runs dry
You break down and cry

So it's time to say goodbye
Until we meet again

05-06-18 Faces In A Broken Mirror

Worms in your food
But you eat it anyway

Blood money in your bank
Still you seem to spend it freely

Crazy brains in your head
While you can't think straight

Love in your heart
But all you feel is hate

05-05-18 On The Run

I'm gonna run where
you can't find me

I'm gonna hide where
you can't ride me

I've got a gun so
you can't touch me

I'm having fun so
you can't stun me

05-04-18 Wars In Whispers

Sidewalk rattlesnakes bite
Tonight is the fight almighty
When positive meets negative
And everything falls down

Ashes blowing in the breezes
Dead brown leaves crumbling
Crushed under our bare feet
Stumbling into a fresh apocalypse

There is no hope for our heroes
The bad guys won this battle
Evil was stronger than goodness
It may take awhile to rise again

05-03-18 Morning Dreams Awakened

I saw you sitting in the park

Today was like yesterday again

The days and years melted away

Where there was only us together

Your smile was shining bright

Your laughter was so joyous

We forgot about all our troubles

We played like young children

But when it's time for dreams

To become only faded memories

We will say our sad goodbyes

Then wait until we meet again

05-02-18 The Golden Prince

Dragons in your eyes
The heart of a lion in your smile
Jimi Hendrix jamming inside your soul

Breathe fire into the sky
Let out a great roar before battle
Sing out to the stars like an electric gypsy

05-01-18 Tweeters And Cheaters

Stormy stories and propaganda pies
Swimming deep in a rainbow of lies
Tell the truth because you can't hide
