Flying saucers on judgement day
nightmare green radiation terror
gruesome horrors creeping closer
overcome by a kaleidoscope of emotion

We try hard to keep up
like nothing is wrong
we find simple distractions
to fill the massive void

Love for our family grows
and the loss is unbearable
when someone is missing
from the dinner table

where widows still weep

It was rainy and cold

I had a massive headache

didn't want to go to work

Missed my train got stuck waiting

the subway was way too crowded

everyone was pushing and shoving

Got into a fight with a jerk at my job

the boss was breathing down my neck

there must be something better than this
