10-31-13 Ghost Funk Disco Party

We all created art tonight
The energy in this room
Was in full bloom alive
Superstitious in overdrive

Astronaut sits beside me
We are in outer space
The monsters are with us
It's getting spooky in here

Drenched in colorful light
Dancing in astral orbit
Laying down some grooves
As heavy as we want to get

10-30-13 Modern Day Movie Dreams

I cried out loud
At the beginning
Of the end

We took a look
At a notebook
Filled with secrets

The sea shore
Is a wonderful place
To go swimming

Dark city streets
Quiet before dawn
Coming alive

Choose your adventure
Step into a new journey
The story is written

What happens next
All depends upon
Your attitude

10-29-13 Midtown Manhattan Marketing Strategies

Shoot it with confidence
Talk your game when it counts
Let the big top guns pop

Compete against the crowd
I am a guy you don't want to mess with
Only a fool will trust a friend

Sacrifice your heart for gold
Run those other losers out of town
Do whatever it takes to win

No free rides on the subway
Today you have to fight for your life
Then live to fight another day

10-28-13 Chocolate Haiku

Delicious and sweet
This is what Heaven tastes like
Melting in my mouth

10-27-13 Legacy Of The Modern Prophets

We blazed trails
We rode the dragon
We grabbed gold
We chased our dreams

Now it's time for the next generation
To light those fires once again
To seek out the grand adventures
And to swim in the waters of greatness

We must teach them well
We must guide them to their destiny

10-26-13 The Judgement Of All Mankind

Forked tongues of demonic possession
Lash and tear the mortal flesh of humanity

The Devil's evil plot to steal your soul
Shows no mercy under the spell of temptation

Hot whiskey sliding down your throat
Dying from the inside out with poisoned veins

Walking blindly through life oblivious
Hell has already risen to destroy our civilization

10-25-13 Free Food At The Truck Stop

Drop top on the ant farm car park
Animal intentions on the back end
Glitter sparkles twinkle and sprinkle
Luminous creatures floating nowhere

In the dark jungle of outer space junk
Teddy bears fly gracefully in tranquility
Spinning through bright stardust cycles
Weightless transitions through infinity

Fast asleep on the bus across town at night
Dead on arrival after meeting the dark spirit
Spiraling into oblivion on a Tuesday evening
Speeding towards a new horizon on a hot ride

Pictures of beloved families touch the heart
In the old country where nothing was easy
They lived another dream to bring us freedom
Until fast food pollution kills us all anyway

10-24-13 October Baseball

I'm just happy
to be watching
the last few games
of the season before
the long cold winter starts

I don't really care who wins

10-23-13 Scattered Characteristics

If you only had one dream
to carry around in your pocket
it would have to be illuminated
by tribes of warfare in the Bronx
on the front lines of the battle
against the future of modern life
lost in translation between transitions
flowing smoothly into the next phase
on howling winds of impending doom
walking all over the woods in a trance
flying with night birds beyond the stars
finding peace and tranquility in poetry

10-22-13 Goodbye Ghosts

The moon is full of mischief
But we've got a spooky solution
Get rid of the ghosts tonight
Send them back to the spirit world

Close the doors
Turn out the lights
Chant the words
Pull back the curtain

Goodbye ghosts
Go back to where you belong

10-21-13 Rock Paper Scizzors

I guess it wasn't meant to be
Strange electricity on the circuit
Plants in the window get sunlight
Full bloom fireworks in the stars

Cold winds blow in from the north
Oh yeah I forgot the world is ending
We were once the freeze tag champions
When summer camp was still cool

Self employed and overjoyed at home
It's a very lonely city when you're alone
Put the blame on an innocent bystander
Get out of town before the trouble starts

10-20-13 Whispering Waves

Sad colors
Washed out
Then fade away

Look up
In the sky
To find the sun

A quiet walk
Through the
Neighborhood

Take a chance
Lose it all
Then come again

Raindrops fall
In a silent breeze
Through the mist

10-19-13 Wild Children Of The Night

Washed in chocolate sauce
Inclined to dine outside the lines
Warm glass of dark red wine
Drenched in blood like vampires

The cost of living dangerously
Spent wisely on the company dime
Wired from staying out late every night
Ruthless in the race to survive life

Cold poison running through blue veins
Sharper than the blade of a steak knife
Immortal but cursed to roam the darkness
Misunderstood yet delightfully evil

10-18-13 Click Bait

Replenish your supply
Hide inside your mind
Support the local economy
Resist supreme commandments
Kiss your sweetheart on the lips
Turn on the transistor radio
Hang out on the boardwalk
Seek shelter from the storm
Breathe in the fresh air
Fall asleep watching TV

10-17-13 Conspiracy Of Poetry

Elusive scoundrels
Commiserating quietly
In the back of a saloon

Stardust warriors
Sweep off the rooftops
Violently dancing

Crack pipe car crash
Still kills me to the bone
Haunting my memories

Refreshing watermelon
Sunshine salad at the park
Cool cucumber crunch

Stock prices crash hard
So many people are out of work
Jumping out of windows

Cartoon candy sweet
Rocket ships and laserbeams
Fantastic voyages through time

10-16-13 Banksy In My Neighborhood

Honest pocket swordfish knowledge
Strength in wisdom power of energy
Develop strange routines at school
Destruction of unbroken daydreams

Rabbits living on the streets in Chinatown
Playing frisbee in the middle of traffic
Terrific solutions to ancient mysteries
Get down to the groove of magic music

That's when it all started to come to an end
Forward thinking march to the beat of tomorrow
Future stars growing out of suburban communities
Meaningless scientific experiments gone wild

Forbidden fruit on the menu for the wedding
Extra fun trouble in mind for a famous fire
Hidden meanings strategically positioned
Unlocking the secret engine of civilization

10-15-13 Sentimental Magic Blessings

There is a
spiritual
significance
to your
wild
parakeet
visitation
from
this
morning

Your heart
attracts
great
miracles
from
the bright
center
of the
universe

Your
smile
brings
out
the
best
in
everyone

10-14-13 Locked Inside A Library

White paper turned yellow from age
Words flow in waves all over the page
Inspiration in the atmosphere around us
Ink pen furiously scribbling down notes

Secrets of philosophy encoded in poetry
Dangerous ideas hidden inside messages
Electricity crackles as sparks fly in the air
Revolution is brewing in the underworld

Writing transcriptions of our modern life
Fabricating sketches of daily existence
Snapshots of a specific moment in time
Before the dark storm descended upon us

10-13-13 Pictures Of Perfect Paradise

Sweet talk from above
Family love on Sunday
The moment of nature
Hot coffee in the morning

10-12-13 Kiss Of The Cobra

sudden strike
razor sharp fangs
puncture your skin
spitting hot venom
the immortal bite
powerful magic
