06-30-17 June Swoon

Let's go for a walk
To get some fresh air

These warm breezes
Make me feel relaxed

Sweet smell of summer
Sipping cold lemonade

Hot days of freedom
Dipped in golden sunshine

06-29-17 Sunny Summer Garden Party

I can't wait
to get into
The Garden
this summer
to dance free
and sing out
with tall trees
and flowers
in living color

06-28-17 Stomping Grounds

Walking through town

Where we used to run around

Down on sweet Main Street

Hanging out on the corner

Stop inside our pizza place

It hasn't changed since our day

Everything is the same as it was

But life goes on without us

06-27-17 Twentieth Century Leftovers

Broken hands of a clock
Record player needle skip
Flash bulb snap on a camera
Chewed up tape in my boom box

06-26-17 Arrivals And Departures

Ride out to the western skies
Hot wings waiting at the airport
Heavy traffic moving backwards
Heavy luggage and delayed flights

Turbulence bumps in the night
Taxi cabs waiting near the bus stop
Silence outside on a long trip home
Finally some quiet contemplation

06-25-17 Astro Farm

I want to be a crazy space chicken
Rocket robots flying into tomorrow
Explosive battle in the outer galaxy
Little green men in radioactive ships

Laser beams in the eyes of science
Planets crashing into the moon
Fireballs in the skies across the sun
You are the only one who can save us

06-24-17 Sharp Silver Stitches

stuck in a sand trap
quicksand sinking slowly
snakes slither by silently
slingshot snap back sting
spiders scattered in shadow
sleep sounds so syrup sweet
send your soul to a sanctuary
spiritual salvation in sound

06-23-17 All Walls Fall

Crumble down division walls
Build them all back up again
Rise above the battlefields

06-22-17 Triple Ultimate Experience

Broken glass transparency
Peel away layers of deception
Dive into a new galaxy of driving
Flash forward to the future of meat

Kiss poisonous flowers in the rain
Open window reveals a terrible secret
Rocket ship to red sun country comfort
Touch the stars on the edge of twilight

06-21-17 Crazy Clown Parade

Drowning in a puzzle puddle
Quizzically mystical blizzard
Buzzards sizzling wizard stick

Swollen ego lost in a moment
Hot cat sports car fast track snack
Cooking in the old fresh kitchen

Kittens undercover in fluffy pillows
Frankenstein eloquent executions
Sunshine superfly superstar sensation

06-20-17 Imperfect Centuries

Imperfection in the glass
Ripped through the years
Shattered in old age rage

Broken pieces of plastic
Melted down into liquid
Swirling colors harden

Looking into the mirror
Ageless beauty that time forgot
Cracked pictures of youth

06-19-17 Treehouse Philosophy

wishes pop like raindrops
full stop storm exposure
stuck inside stuffy stories
honestly interested in info

shooting stars in a spider web
spiral cycles spinning in circles
patterns patiently evolving out
broken dreams are easy fevers

06-18-17 Snapshot Summertime

Walking through
Our neighborhood
Holding hands together
On a bright sunny day

Warm breezes blow
Children laugh and sing
Out on the playground
In the sweet summertime

06-17-17 Dinner Party Horror Show

Monsters over for dinner
Wolfman eating spaghetti
Dracula chewing red meat
Frankenstein loves pizza
The Mummy's drinking coffee
I'm in the kitchen chopping garlic
Hoping they don't eat me next

06-16-17 Second Avenue Stories

Underwater weariness
Walking up Second Avenue
On a rainy night in the cold
Old and alone in a young town

Stop to warm up at McSorley's
Grab a few rounds and some stories
Reliving past glories on the battlefield
Ancient ghosts welcome us with joy

06-15-17 Dipped In Imagination

Golden time is all over
Sunny side shines alive
Dragonfly smile flying
Wildlife protection angels

Blue skies will come again
Highway fantasies realized
Listen to the tapes all day
Graffiti sticks on a brick wall

06-14-17 Summer Splash Water Fountain

Afternoon day off
Lazy haze in a daze
Pays off handsomely
Taking a deep snooze
Daydreaming in space
Swimming in sunshine

Fountain of youth
Drinking sweet water
Straight from the fountain
First to quench our thirst

06-13-17 Now It All Makes Sense

Purple sunshine smiles
Legendary magic charms
Out of this world flavors
Save something for later

Clock strikes thirteen
Confusion sets in faster
Sinking in quicksand
Sink to the bottom

You've got it all figured out
These are the moments we love
Memories of the other side
While traveling into the future

06-12-17 Act Now

We are under attack

From our own government

There is a coup in progress

Our liberties are being stolen

Our freedoms are being destroyed

Total destruction is at hand

We must do something to stop it

06-11-17 Long Trail Journal

We walk in the deep woods
Long hikes up into the pines
Strange creatures howling
Something is following us
