We walked along
the edge of the lake
fishing for our dinner
relaxing in a shady spot
laying the tall green grass
smothered by warm breezes
watching bright red winged birds
tweeting sweet summer songs
along the northern shore line
in deep with a family of ducks
under a scorching hot sun
buzzing with dragonflies
having so much fun
we forgot all about
the wintertime
