On a warm summer's day
The Purple Superfly came along
And stung me on my tongue
Suddenly everything turned
Strangely beautiful evil
Inside down upside out
Nothing was as it had been
Everything was not what it ever was
Still time seemed to stand still
Those old emotions
Resurfacing from the cookie jar
Unlocked memories down deep
Watching wild colors
Swirl in a spinning kaliedoscope
Like Buddhas in the blue skies above
