03-27-14 Seasons Change Like Centuries

Sunday morning heavy rain
Thunderstorms rolling in
Catch me snuggling up cozy
Safe under a warm blanket

A wash out day spent indoors
Hoping for a miracle sunrise
To paint this town a golden shine
As the city streets come alive

Toy robots in a glass display case
Plastic Santa Claus medal of honor
The old neighborhood hasn't changed
But it's still so different from the old days

We sipped fresh egg creams
Walking hand in hand together
With our baby fast asleep in the stroller
Wishing things could stay perfect forever
