Inspired by the far out information that's going around
Astounded by the power of the human spirit to uplift
Excited by the promise of another day in paradise
and fabulous plans
but life rarely happens
the way we expect it to
Poems about crystal castles
and cascading waterfalls
are really nice and all
but that's not how I feel
I'm really saddened by all of the recent school shootings
I'm even sadder when I see my neighbors suffering around me
I'm optimistic that things are going to get better soon
