Mermaids drift along the tide
Rays of sunshine break through
Deep below the water's surface
In the ruins of a fallen civilization
Down where the sharks prowl
Golden treasures submerged
Where kings and queens once ruled
I can see the horror in their eyes
Did I see this in a special dream
Or is this a memory from long ago
Buried underneath layers of time
