02-16-16 Dime Store Poetry

acid rains pour down
on the tops of our skulls

long day at the office
stress kills everything

I only have
a short time
to shine light
on you

it's quick
maybe too slick
back of the house
talk like that

sneak attack
copy the code
my master plan
hidden in sight

once every day
I let it bleed for you
subtracted by reality
long distance heart

hopelessly devoted
heavy metal heartbreak
lay it out on the floor
forbidden after hours

create your own world
craft a delicate web of words
kiss the heavy hearts of angels
that guide you through life

write it all down
cool attitude in the city
at the turn of the century
hungry to get to the top

confused thoughts scribbled
in my old spiral notebooks
moments recorded in time
flashing by faster than light

hot clubs every night
glitter bombed in the moonlight

lost souls wandering the darkness
sunrise comes to wash it all away
