At night he stands alone
outside the subway station
in front of Dunkin Donuts
listening to propaganda
on his old transistor radio
with the volume turned up
as loud as it can possibly go
He's a Vietnam Vet
dressed in camouflage
wounded in combat
where he lost his mind
in Nineteen Sixty Nine
stuck inside a time warp
and he's still fighting the war
