Rains pour down
out along Queens Boulevard
as cars race back and forth
splashing in giant puddles
For a brief moment
the hot summer sun
shines straight through
a break in the clouds
and unleashes a rainbow
across the endless sky
Traffic lights reflecting
on the wet streets below
as people with umbrellas
run for their lives to cross
all the way to the other side
