Old friends fall apart
under the weight of broken bonds
Bitter feelings of sadness
turn to anger and resentment
Deep wounds of betrayal
stabbing straight into the heart
Shattered trust busted apart
like a snap kick right in the skull
Shades of pain hurt
worse now than they always have
So much space left in between
across the long cold empty distance
