Serpents stalk us in our dreams
poisoning our unconsciousness
bleeding into our tormented souls
slithering in through our eyeballs
haunting us deep inside our minds
riding through this ancient nightmare
in shock from fright and gasping for air
paralyzed in agony over insane visions of horror
howling like mad beasts when the lights go out
until we get to the part where we never awaken
