The snow has all fallen
and melted away
Birds are singing
their springtime melodies
Time to pack up your sweaters
and big puffy winter coats
Now the grass is green and trimmed
there's fresh dirt on the mound
Players are dressed in their uniforms
full of anticipation for the season ahead
Bats and balls are waiting in the dugout
as fans are sitting in the outfield bleachers
Opening Day has finally arrived
and life is a little bit better than it was yesterday
