At the birth of a new spiritual religion
armies battle to the death across the countryside
and far out stretching until the end of the world
where the words all take their toll against the odds
where blood splatters in pools on the city streets
where we wind up writing about positive energy
where we love our neighbors to save our lives
where we struggle for social change and equality
where we sacrifice darkness to empower the light
which is the only true battle worth fighting for
