we gaze off into a golden sunset mushroom cloud
and wonder what will become of our children
who will inherit this beautiful doomed planet
and be forced to pick up the broken pieces
to try and make some sense out of it all
So when the oceans turn black with pollution
and the precious animals all go extinct
and when our cities are burned out and flooded
after the last of the glaciers finally melt away
our kids will survive and save their own lives
to rebuild what their parents destroyed
A new generation of prophets and messiahs
They are the heroes and saviors of the universe
They are the new Gods of tomorrow
