Doing hard time on the medicine farm
When gunshots ring out in the afternoon
Right in front of the drugstore on the corner
Two men with backpacks are running from the scene
Shouting obscenities in blood splattered clothing
As they make their getaway down the block
A robbery attempt gone horribly wrong
Left a body lying face down motionless on the sidewalk
Police car sirens scream as a crowd begins to gather
News reporters tell the story in graphic detail
While detectives interview pedestrian witnesses
This neighborhood isn't as safe as it used to be
